OPP are calling a recent drug bust one of the biggest in recent history for Huron County, and it all started with a routine traffic stop.
On March 25 a Huron County OPP officer observed two vehicles traveling in tandem, southbound on Kerry’s Line. After following for a while the officer conducted a traffic stop to determine if an ATV being towed by one of the vehicles was stolen, as one had been reported stolen earlier.
According to police one of the drivers had a suspended license and was placed under arrest for driving while suspended.
Further investigation lead to the discovery of 49 bags of marijuana and cannabis resin within both vehicles.
