London police say 17-year-old female struck by a car while crossing Fanshawe Park Road on the weekend has died in hospital.
Police responded to the collision involving the girl and a Honda Civic shortly before 5 p.m. on Sunday.
The beige Civic was eastbound on Fanshawe Park Road at Adelaide Street North when it struck the pedestrian who was walking southbound on the west side of the intersection.
Officials say the teen succumbed to her injuries early Monday evening.
The driver of the car involved was not injured and there were no passengers in the car when the crash happened.
London police’s Traffic Management Unit continues to investigate the collision, but early reports have confirmed the car was travelling through the intersection on a green light.
