Health Canada is recalling about 6,000 strollers sold under the brand name Safety 1st.
The Step N Go Travel Systems strollers were made in China and distributed by Dorel Juvenile Canada between May 2015 and this past June.
Health Canada says a tray-folding mechanism can partially disengage on one side when an infant car seat is attached, creating the risk of a fall.
There have been eight consumer reports of such a failure in Canada, and 30 reports among 20,000 strollers sold in the US, but no reports of injuries.
Anyone with the affected stroller should stop using it with a car seat attached, and contact Dorel for a free repair kit.
