Employees of a Stratford auto parts manufacturer got some good news Monday.

A $50-million expansion of the FIO Automotive facility on Dunn Road by owners Futaba Industrial was one of 15 agreements Premier Kathleen Wynne announced as part of her business trip to Japan.

The plant makes auto body parts for various Toyota and Lexus models.

The premier also toured the headquarters of Honda and Subaru, although no announcements came out of those visits.

According to the province, companies based in Japan employ more than 40,000 workers in Ontario.
