A 33-year-old London man is facing a number of charges after he caught the attention of police riding his bicycle through a red light in the city’s downtown.

Police say the man was seen crossing against the light at Dundas Street and William Street around 5:50 p.m. on Tuesday.

While speaking with him, police learned he was carrying a spring-loaded folding knife.

After his arrest, a search found traces of crystal meth and 5.8 grams of marijuana valued at $58.

Police say additional investigation found the bicycle he was riding had been reported stolen in September.

David George of London is facing charges including:

  • possessing a prohibited weapon
  • carrying a concealed weapon
  • possessing a prohibited weapon while prohibited
  • possession of a Schedule I substance
  • possession Schedule II substance
