The London District Catholic School Board says students can begin returning to Regina Mundi Catholic College on Wednesday after a water line break closed the school for two days.

The water leak on Monday caused damage to the lower, first and second levels of the school, and the work to remove water has been ongoing.

There is still no damage estimate available.

As the cleanup continues, the board says it is introducing an alternating schedule for the next two days.

On Wednesday, Grade 9 and 10 students can return while Grade 11 and 12 students will be off.

Then on Thursday, the Grade 9 and 10 students will be off, while the Grade 11 and 12 students will return to school.

A decision will be made on Thursday regarding future dates and information will be made available on the Regina Mundi website.
