Provincial police will be providing an update for the media regarding a “multi-jurisdictional death investigation” that involves Woodstock, London and several southwestern Ontario communities.

A news conference will be held Tuesday morning at 10 a.m. at Goff Hall in Woodstock, involving members of the OPP, along with London and Woodstock police.

The event will be live-streamed at london.ctvnews.ca.

A suspect has been identified and police “do not believe there is any further threat to public safety at this time,” according to a news release issued by the OPP on Oct. 14.

Police said the investigation started as a Woodstock Police case late last month.

It has since expanded to include London, Oxford County and Brant County.

“Investigators from each police jurisdiction are at the very early stages of the investigation working toward confirming information and gathering evidence alleged to form part of this investigation,” said the release.
