Perhaps these vandals need a refresher course in Canadian politics.

Sometime between late Friday night and early Saturday morning, vandals trashed the campaign office of London North Centre Liberal candidate Peter Fragiskatos at 884 Adelaide St. N.

Most of the graffiti is made up of "tags" but one of the messages spray-painted on the side of the building reads, "Down with Harper," referring to Conservative leader Stephen Harper.

"You know what, I'm not sure what the intention is. You know, yes we are fighting here for real change. We have a message focused on moving beyond Mr. Harper, and obviously they do too. They (vandals) expressed it in a very strange way," says Liberal candidate Peter Fragiskatos.

Damage is estimated at $5,000.

Police have been made aware of the situation and have launched an investigation.
