Light snowfall Thursday ahead of wet weekend

Share

Light snowfall is expected across the region Thursday morning, settling in the afternoon with cloudy skies.

According to CTV News London Meteorologist Julie Atchison, there is a weak wave that is moving through to the north.

"Generally, snowfall amounts will be about 2-4 cm in midwestern Ontario, however in London, just trace amounts of snowfall... Elgin County, western areas, you could see some very light patchy, freezing drizzle."

Atchison said things will quiet down just ahead of a big system with tropical moisture being tracked heading into the weekend.

"Brining with it the potential for some heavy rainfall as we head into Saturday and a rain/snow mix for Sunday," she said.
