A woman from Ilderton has won the big prize in the Dream Home Lottery Friday.
Judy Dale can choose between two homes in London, one in Grand Bend or $1 million in cash.
Dale, who has a big family, plans to use her winnings to help take care of her relatives.
Matthew Atkins of London won the 50-50 prize and receives $379,000. He says he will also support his family with his prize money.
More than 195,000 tickets were purchased and a total of 1,563 prizes were handed out.
Prizes include vehicles, trips, luggage and coffee machines.
The funds raised through the lottery support the Children’s Hospital, the London Health Sciences Centre and St. Joseph’s Health Care.
The lottery has raised more than $23.9 million since 1996 for enhanced patient care, research, education, and the purchase of innovative medical equipment, benefiting patients and their families.
