The long weekend has gotten off to a tragic start in Huron County.
OPP were called to a collision involving an ATV and a pickup truck at the intersection of Walton Road and Clyde Line, just east of Blyth.
The ATV collided with the pickup truck’s rear bumper and the utility trailer in the middle of the intersection of the two gravel roads.
The impact threw the ATV rider from his machine and into a ditch.
He was taken to hospital where he succumbed to his injuries.
He has been identified as Kenneth Plunkett, 22, of North Huron.
The investigation continues.
