Highway 401 eastbound lanes reopens following Chatham collision

The eastbound lanes of Highway 401 have been reopened in Chatham following a two vehicle collision near Kent Bridge Road.

According to OPP Const. Brett Phair, it was a minor collision between the vehicles.

Chatham-Kent was experiencing a squall at the time of the collision. All eastbound lanes were closed between Communication Road and Kent Bridge Road as the investigation took place.

Snow plows were out clearing the road of snow before the highway reopened.

Drivers are reminded to drive according to the weather conditions.
