Canadian rockers Finger Eleven have been tapped to be the headlining act for the 2016 edition of Rockin' New Year's Eve.

Festivities get underway at 8 p.m. in Victoria Park with local children’s act ‘Glee London’ followed by a fireworks display at 9 p.m. for children.

Finger Eleven take the stage leading up to the big countdown to midnight and 2017.

Admission is free for everyone.

Finger Eleven first formed back in 1994, when the group was known as the Rainbow Butt Monkeys, but once they decided to change their musical approach on their 1996 album Tip they also changed their name to Finger Eleven.

The group eventually gained mass appeal and noticeable exposure in the U.S. with the release of their moody "One Thing" single from their self-titled album in 2003.
