Grey County OPP say a fire has caused extensive damage to a building on Main Street West that houses four apartments.
Police and fire crews were called to the scene in the Township of Southgate around 6:45 p.m. on Wednesday.
An older two-storey brick building suffered extensive damage as a result of the fire.
All four apartments were unoccupied at the time.
The cause of the fire is unknown but is not believed to be suspicious.
The Ontario Fire Marshall’s Office was contacted but will not be investigating.
Members of Victim Services and the Red Cross attended to offer assistance to the tenants.
