One man has died and police are searching for another after a vehicle struck a tree early Wednesday morning.
London police and EMS were called to Bonaventure Drive at Admiral Drive at approximately 2:15 a.m. for a vehicle striking a tree.
Becky LeBlanc lives nearby and describes the scene, "We heard screeching tires, and then all of a sudden a big thud and I just looked out my window and there was a truck across the street. It was wrapped around a tree....There was another gentleman that took off from the car and I saw him go and he yelled out 'Call 911,' so I called 911."
London police Const. Ken Steeves says "The driver was pinned in the vehicle and had to be extricated, he was then transported to hospital where he has since succumbed to his injuries. A post mortem is being conducted today and part of the investigation is his identity."
Through an investigation police found the Ford F-150 pickup truck had been reported stolen on November 29.
The crash remains under investigation and police say they're still looking for the second man who was seen fleeing the scene.
