Get ready for the sights, sounds, and smells of fair season as the 141th annual Western Fair opens today at the Western Fair District.

Londoners will have no shortage of entertainment to choose from this weekend as Country Music Week has officially begun downtown as well.

The Fair will open its gates on Friday and runs until Sept. 18.

Rain is coming Saturday, but after that it is mostly sunny skies in immediate forecast.

Last year’s larger midway experience is back with 29 adult rides to choose from.

Queen’s Park has been transformed into Imagination Park where families can take children to watch Bob the Builder or get a picture with Thomas the Tank Engine.

Country Music Week takes over the Fair Saturday with Fanfest with Canadian country music acts taking the stage in the Metroland Media Agriplex.

Gates open at 3 p.m. on weekdays and 10 a.m. on weekends.
