Police are warning residents in several London neighbourhoods, following increased reports of thefts and break-ins.
Investigators say the neighbourhood bordered by John Street to Oxford Street and Talbot Street to Richmond Street have seen 32 break and enters and 96 thefts from vehicles in the first nine months of the year.
According to police, the neighbourhood typically averages 26 break-ins and 71 thefts annually. The crimes don’t have a set time pattern, as they take place at all hours of the day. A map supplied by investigators show six months of crime data in the area between April and September.
London police officers will be handing out crime alert fliers to residents, encouraging them to lock their doors and windows, while ensuring no valuable belongings are visible in their vehicles.
