The body of a boater, who was missing since Oct. 24, was found Saturday afternoon in the Sauble River, Bruce OPP said.

Family and friends had been searching for 31-year-old Nathan French, of Acton, after he was last seen in a dingy on the river near Park Head and failed to show up for a pre-arranged meeting.

On Saturday, water levels in the river had receded substantially and family members located the body. The called Bruce OPP for assistance.

OPP used an ATV and water craft to recover the body. A coroner was on scene and a post-mortem is scheduled for Monday.

Foul play is not suspected.
