As the two Costco outlets in London accepted donations to aid the family of a six-year-old girl hit by a car, friends planned a candlelight vigil for Wednesday.
The vigil for Addison Hall will be held at Greenway Park at 8 p.m.
About 600 candles will be available for members of the public at the vigil.
Friends say they want to show the family they care and give the public a place to come together.
"(We're) reaching out - trying to show support for the family while they grieve their loss and continue their fight through this," says friend Michelle Meiller.
"I think it's also a good place for people who don't know the family to get together. It's touched so many people's lives."
At Costco on Wonderland Road and on Wellington Road, where the collision that claimed the life of Addison and injured five others happened, donations are being collected. Costco says donation will be matched dollar-by-dollar up to $50,000.
There's also a separate online donation drive.
Addison's mother and two younger siblings are still in hospital. Her mother is in fair condition while a sister and newborn baby are listed as critical.
The other people injured were treated and released.
