Norfolk County OPP have laid a spate of charges against two London women that include possession of property obtained by crime and possession of drugs for the purpose of trafficking.
Officials say an alert homeowner at an address on Western Avenue in Delhi called police shortly after 3 a.m. Sunday about an unknown female entering a parked car, and a second suspicious female in a nearby vehicle.
Following an investigation, police arrested 22-year-old Destiny Wilson and 26-year-old Melissa Brown, both of London, and say a stolen vehicle, stolen property and drugs were recovered.
Both women are facing charges including:
- possession of break-in instruments
- possession of property obtained by crime under $5,000
- possession of property obtained by crime over $5,000
- possession of methamphetamine
- possession of temazepam for the purpose of trafficking
- possession of marijuana
Wilson is additionally charged with; possession of tetrahydrocannabinol pills and three counts of failing to comply with recognizance.
Brown is also charged with; attempted theft of a motor vehicle and failing to comply with a probation order.
Both are expected to appear in a Simcoe court at a later date to answer to the charges.
