Two men have been charged after 123 kilograms of suspected cocaine was discovered within a pickup truck at the Blue Water Bridge.
The pickup truck attempted to cross the bridge on May 6, but was referred for a secondary examination. That’s when a detector dog discovered the suspected narcotics concealed within the vehicle. In total, 105 packages of suspected cocaine were removed from the truck.
The RCMP arrested and charged two Stoney Creek, Ont. men with importation of a controlled substance, possession of a controlled substance for the purpose of trafficking, and conspiring to import a controlled substance.
Both men remain in custody and are scheduled to appear in a Sarnia court on Friday for a bail hearing.
