Police are releasing few details about a stabbing at a west London apartment building early Sunday.
Residents in the building are looking for answers, but police say there is no threat to public safety.
A source close to the investigation says the victim was in hospital in serious condition.
Police were called to 160 Emery St. W. shortly after midnight.
There is a trail of blood from the seventh floor of the building down the stairs and into a nearby neighbourhood, where the victim was reportedly found.
“We heard the police cars go storming by and, so, we figured it was like another weekend at the apartment building. There's always cops and someone screaming and fighting and people getting hurt,” says Jonathan DeBakker.
"I could have been walking through the hallway and people could have been getting stabbed and I could have been in the middle of it too.”
Police say the investigation is ongoing
