The London Children's Museum opened its doors for a preview of its new 36,000 square-foot space inside the historic Kellogg's cereal factory at 100 Kellog Lane in London, Ont.

Kate Ledgley, the executive director at London Regional Children's Museum, said the new space features eight new and immersive exhibits, more interactive play, and shared spaces where children and families can learn and grow.

"Our intention was to maintain the spirit, the mission, the values of the children's museum that people have known and loved for over 40 years," said Ledgley.

The price tag for the project is $23 million, however, Ledgley said thanks to generous donors, they raised $20.7 million to date.

"We still have naming opportunities, and we're still looking to families to give other families the gift of play this holiday season," said Ledgley.

The new space has double the exhibit space, is more accessible, and it's based on input of families from across the region.

The London Children’s Museum is opening for exclusive member-only previews beginning Monday, Dec. 23, 2024.

The London Children’s Museum is planning a celebratory Grand Opening weekend on Jan. 25-26, 2025.
