A London man found guilty in the armed robbery of a London bank has been sentenced to five-and-a-half years behind bars.

Abdullah Youssef, 22, learned his fate Monday afternoon inside the London courthouse.

Youssef was arrested after the BMO bank branch at 1315 Commissioners Road East in Summerside was robbed at gunpoint in May of 2013.

A lone male suspect entered the bank with what appeared to be a gun and demanded money before fleeing with an undisclosed amount of cash.

Shortly afterward, the vehicle involved in the robbery was found in flames in a parking lot.
