A London Bank of Montreal branch at Commissioners Road East and Highbury Avenue was robbed at about 12:30 p.m. on Thursday.
London Police Const. Ken Steeves said a lone male entered the bank with a handgun and took an undisclosed amount of cash.
He was reported to be driving a silver Volkswagen.
“A vehicle similar if not the same was found at 590 Millbank (Dr.),” Steeves said, engulfed in flames.
The robbery suspect is described as 5-foot-6, slim build, darker complexion, wearing a black and white bandana across his face, a black baseball cap, red hoodie and blue jeans.
Steeves said nobody was injured in the robbery or fire.
