Sarnia police search for break and enter suspect that entered a home through a basement window

Sarnia police are looking for the suspect in a break-and-enter that took place on Tuesday evening.

According to police, just before 7:00 p.m., a suspect broke into a home on Elizabeth Avenue through a basement window.

The suspect was then confronted by an occupant and fled the scene empty handed.

Officers and a K9 unit searched the area near the residence but were unable to locate the suspect.

The suspect is described as a man standing roughly 5’5” tall, wearing a full face mask, dark coloured jacket (possibly green), with a black good, grey or black pants, and grey work boots.
