Sarnia police are dealing with an ongoing graffiti problem in the city.
Since June 5, employees from the Ministry of Transportation have been attempting to remove offensive graffiti from under the overpass for Highway 402 located behind the Home Depot on Quinn Drive. The sound barrier has also been vandalized in the same manner.
Ministry employees have attempted several times to paint these areas, only to notice that within several days the damage has returned, police said.
"This has become a very frustrating and expensive situation to deal with. The Sarnia Police Service is reaching out for the public’s assistance," a news release said.
If anyone has any information about this, they are asked to contact the Sarnia police at 519-344-8861, extension 0, or Sarnia Lambton Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477.
