London police have released the names of the people involved in the fatal crash north of Masonville on Thursday.
Emergency personnel were called to Richmond Street at Sunningdale Road around 3 a.m., related to a collision involving two motor vehicles.
Police say upon arrival at the scene, it was determined that the female driver of one of the vehicles was deceased. She has been identified as 60-year-old Gloria Chivers of Thorndale.
As a result of this investigation, Jinghao Zhou,23, of London, is charged with the following Criminal Code of Canada offences:
- one count of impaired operation of a motor vehicle causing death
- one count of driving with more than 80mgs of alcohol in blood causing death and
- one count of dangerous operation of a motor vehicle causing death.
Jinghao Zhou will be in court today.
The investigation into the circumstances of the fatal collision continues.
