London police have now taken over the investigation of an explosion and fire at a south London townhouse complex.
Fire officials say they have completed their work at 1217 Southdale Rd. E. and have released the scene to police.
Families from three units near the one where the explosion occurred were evacuated and the Red Cross was called in Saturday to assist them.
The families are staying in hotels over the weekend and tomorrow the London and Middlesex Housing Authority will work to find them longer term accommodation.
