A collision between a car and VIA Rail train Sunday night has left one person dead.
The crash occurred shortly after 7:30 p.m. just south of Strathroy at the tracks on Glen Oak Rd. near Glendon Dr.
The train was heading to London from Glencoe at the time of collision. The lone male driver of the vehicle was pronounced dead at the scene.
There were no injuries to anyone onboard the train.
Strathroy-Caradoc Police and The Coroner’s Office are investigating the incident. The identity of the deceased male has not been released.
