The Ministry of Natural Resources has called a Spill Action Center Team to a natural gas leak north of Forest, Ont.
Lambton County OPP were called to Lakeshore Road, east of Indian Hills Trail West, just before 8 a.m. Wednesday for reports of a gaseous odour.
Natural gas was seen bubbling up out of a small pond and determined to be a natural gas pocket.
Police, fire crews and Union Gas immediately responded and the Ministry of Natural Resources was contacted.
Indian Hills Trail West will be restricted to local traffic only until it can be determined how long the natural gas leak will continue.
Residents are being asked to avoid the area for their safety.
