Oxford County OPP say they hope the release of surveillance footage of a nighttime robbery will help them figure out who was behind it.
The robbery occurred last Friday night, at the Shell gas station on Woodstock Street North in Tavistock.
Police say a man entered the store and demanded money, but ran away without money when another car showed up on the property.
The man was not found during a subsequent search of the area.
Police describe the man as being approximately 5’10” tall and having a medium build. They say he is likely between 25 and 35 years old.
The man was seen wearing a black, hood-style skull mask, a grey sweatshirt, black sweatpants, black cloth gloves and dark shoes.
Anyone with information is asked to contact police at 519-688-6540 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477.
