A 27-year-old man killed in an accident on an Elgin County farm has been identified as Benjamin Gerald Samplonius of Dutton-Dunwich.
Samplonius died after he was crushed when a large log he was transporting rolled off the bucket of a tractor.
Elgin County OPP say the log, which was approximately 7.3 metres long and 50 centimetres in diameter, rolled down the bucket arms and onto the open cab area when the tractor reversed.
Samplonius was pronounced dead at the scene.
No foul play is suspected, but the Ministry of Labour had been called in and continues to investigate.
