A 28-year-old Cambridge man was pronounced dead after being pulled from Lake Huron over the weekend.
Emergency responders were called to a beach area in Saugeen First Nation, south of Sauble Beach, Saturday afternoon in response to a man in distress in the water.
According to Bruce Peninsula OPP, several people were able to pull the man from the water and start performing CPR before emergency crews arrived.
The man – described by police as a “non-swimmer” – was taken to hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
He has been identified as Bradley Liani, 28, of Cambridge.
A post-mortem is expected to take place Monday.
Police consider drowning to be his presumed cause of death.
