London police ask for tips from public after baby found in dumpster

London police continue to investigate after the body of a dead baby was found in a dumpster Thursday morning.

Police were called to the area behind 675 Richmond St. around 11:35 a.m.

Police say the baby appears to be a newborn but have not released the gender of the child.

The body has been removed and will undergo a post mortem examination Friday.

Meanwhile, police are asking the public for information identifying the parents of the deceased baby.

Police say they are concerned for the health of the mother.

She may be in significant pain with internal bleeding, running the risk of a serious infection.
