Another summer festival has been announced for Victoria Park.

The London Bluesfest will run from Aug. 26-29. It will feature four stages, two licensed areas and hours of free blues entertainment.

Headline artists will be announced on June 13 and will include international, local, regional and local blues artists.

Officials say the blues won’t stop at 11 p.m., as the main stage closes and the ‘Five Bar Blues’ tour begins. Live blues will take over five bars.  Locations and schedule information will be announced in the coming weeks at www.londonbluesfest.com.

This three-day festival is in support of Spinal Cord Research at Parkwood Hospital.

“This event has tremendous potential to attract people from across the region to London for a weekend of live blues, great food in our downtown,” said Chris Campbell, director of culture and entertainment tourism at Tourism London.  “London has always had a strong blues fan base and a great local blues community.”

The Bluesfest will be produced by London musician and businessman Ron Schroeyens.
