And the records just keep falling - London broke another cold weather record Friday - hitting a low of -26 C in the early morning.
The previous record was -21.1 C, set in 1950.
And London wasn't the only city to break records, Windsor, Sarnia and Kitchener all hit new record lows.
Ridgetown, just east of Chatham, hit a bone-chilling -31.9 C, breaking the record of -25 set in 1929.
The average temperature for London in February is -4.5 C, but so far this month the average sits at -11.4.
It will be another week before it's known if we break the record of -11.7 C set in 1978 for coldest February ever recorded.
While extreme cold warnings issued by Environment Canada for southern Ontario have ended, a cold weather alert issued by the Middlesex-London Health Unit remains in place.
That alert is expected to end on Monday, but officials say it could be extended if the frigid cold returns.
Temperatures are supposed to ease over the weekend as snow moves in on Saturday, but plunge again on Monday.
