Environment Canada has confirmed a second tornado on Sunday, the fourth tornado of the year in Ontario, hit in Marsville, Ont. northeast of Belwood.
The tornado was part of a series of violent thunderstorms that hit the area on Sunday and also spawned an EF-2 tornado in Teviotdale, the third of the year, which caused signficant damage to two homes, as well as downed trees and power lines.
The twister that hit Marsville has been rated EF-1, with top winds of 135 to 175 km/h, and left a path of damage about two kilometres long by 500 metres wide.
Environment Canada says damage included snapped tress, an overturned feed barn and some light damage to barns and a house.
On average, there are 12 confirmed tornadoes in Ontario per year.
