It wasn’t just trees and buildings damaged by Sunday’s storms as a wind turbine near Grand Bend lost one of it’ blades.
A turbine in what appears to be the Goshen Wind Energy Centre has a tattered blade following Sunday’s storms. The turbine is located on Kirkton Road.
There are no reported injuries as a result of the blade breaking, and it’s unclear if it was high winds or lightning that damaged the blade.
It’s believed the turbine was just synchronized to the grid six months ago. This is the fifth wind turbine damaged in Ontario since 2007.
