Middlesex County OPP officers have charged four people they say were found drinking alcohol at their vehicles while watching movies at the Mustang Drive-In Theatre.
Police were called for two separate occurrences at the drive-in located on Wilton Grove Road in Thames Centre on Friday.
Staff at the facility told police that four separate guests were drinking alcohol at their vehicles while watching movies. Police attended the scene and spoke with all of the involved parties.
Officers spoke with two men at 9 p.m. and laid charges after an investigation.
John Dupius, 54, and Ronald Dupuis, 62, both of London, have been charged with one count each of having liquor in open container in other than licenced premises, residence or private place.
Two hours later, police went back to the Mustang Drive-In and a spoke with a second group, including a man and woman.
Benjamin Shields, 23, of Southwest Middlesex and Shandel Carnegie, 19, of Central Elgin, were charged with having liquor in open container in other than licenced premises, residence or private place.
All four individuals were issued a Provincial Offence Notice under the Liquor Licence Act and released at the scene without incident.
