Drugs and weapons charges laid after fireworks set off

Drugs and weapons charges have been laid after fireworks were heard going off in Exeter.

On Thursday just after 9 p.m., Huron County OPP were patrolling the town when they saw fireworks being set off by a person walking on Anne Street.

The suspect was arrested, and officers said illegal weapons and drugs were found.

A 35-year-old South Huron man is now facing two counts of possession of a prohibited device or ammunition, two counts of carrying a concealed prohibited device or ammunition, possession of methamphetamine, possession for the purpose of trafficking and two counts of possession of a firearm or ammunition contrary to probation order.
