The driver of an SUV suffered serious injuries after she was involved in a crash with a fully-loaded cement truck.
Police, fire crews and EMS responded to the crash on Clarke Road, just south of Fanshawe Park Road around 10:40 a.m. Thursday.
Officials say both vehicles were northbound on Clarke Road when the Pontiac Torrent collided with the cement truck, heavily damaging the SUV.
The female driver of the SUV was transported to hospital with serious injuries.
One of two dogs in the car was also injured and being taken for treatment.
The driver of the cement truck was not injured.
Clarke Road was closed in both directions for more than an hour following the collision, but has since re-opened.
