London Police have laid charges in the shooting Saturday in a northwest London neighbourhood.
Police were called to the area of Beaverbrook Avenue and Sarnia Road on Saturday, June 25th, 2016, at 9:52 a.m., where a man had suffered a gunshot wound.
Police located a male suspect driving a motorcycle. He fled from police and when the motorcycle came to a stop at Riverside Drive and Wonderland Road, he then fled on foot again, but was apprehended by police.
Paramedics took the man who was shot to the hospital, where he remains in critical condition.
Police have charged 36-year-old Themistoklis Kouzounas of London with seven offences: aggravated assault, discharging a firearm with intent to wound, disqualified operation of a motor vehicle, failing to submit to drug evaluation, dangerous operation of a motor vehicle, taking a motor vehicle to drive without consent and failing to stop for police.
Two other men arrested in connection with the incident have been released unconditionally. The firearm has not been recovered at this time and the Major Crime Section is still investigating.
