OPP have laid charges against a driver and company after a collision involving a transport truck and an overpass on Highway 402.
A portion of Highway 402 was shut down for several days in Nov. 2015 after a transport truck struck the underside of the Indian Road overpass in Sarnia.
Lambton County OPP say the driver, a 55-year-old Scarborough, Ont. man, has been charged with careless driving, over height vehicle and operating an unsafe commercial motor vehicle.
The company involved, Automatic Coating Limited, also in Scarborough, is also facing charges of over height vehicle and operating an unsafe commercial motor vehicle under the Highway Traffic Act.
While Highway 402 re-opened shortly after the collision, a portion of the overpass itself remains fenced off, restricting traffic on the overpass.
