Lambton County OPP have charged a 16-year-old after a fight between two high schoolers that prompted a lockdown at North Lambton Secondary School.
Officers were called to Main Street in Forest around 11:30 a.m. on Tuesday for a complaint about a fight.
Police say the disturbance involved high-school age males, but did not occur on school property.
A 16-year-old male has subsequently been charged with assault causing bodily harm in connection with the incident.
OPP are cautioning that despite social media commentary, there is no risk to student or public safety.
As a precaution the North Lambton Secondary School remained in a partial lockdown on Friday, as Lambton OPP remained in the area to investigate and monitor the situation.
The suspect is scheduled to appear in a Sarnia court in October.
