Fog advisory issued for London area, with snowsqualls on the way
Environment Canada has issued a fog advisory for London, Parkhill, and eastern Middlesex County – that fog advisory sprawls through much of southern Ontario this afternoon and isn’t expected to let up anytime soon.
“Fog has been an issue and low visibility through the day today,” said CTV London Meteorologist Julie Atchison, “fog will continue tonight through the overnight.”
There is the chance for some precipitation tonight, “The low-pressure area that’s moving by to the south bringing some rainfall just out over Lake Erie,” said Atchison.
Heading into your Wednesday, you’ll want to grab your heavy coat when you’re heading out the door, “Game changer! A cold front coming in and that will bring a blast of cold air Wednesday.”
Hopefully you haven’t gotten too optimistic and tucked your snow shovel away, we’re expecting more heading into the middle of the week “Snowsqualls expected heading into Wednesday, flurries will move into the region,” said Atchison. The chance of snow squalls increases as we close in on the evening, “about a 40 per cent chance early in the day, the action will get going heading into Wednesday afternoon.”
That snow is only expected to intensify as we head into the night, “Wednesday night we could see a squall setting up over Middlesex County,” she cautioned.
Those colder temperatures ushered in by the front are expected to hang around for some time, “Thursday the temperatures drop right off and we’ll be talking windchills,” said Atchison.
