It was a frantic 911 call, but it was made too late.
On Wednesday, a London jury heard how baby Ryker Daponte-Michaud was already dead when the call was made on May 21, 2014.
The call was just part of the evidence heard at the trial of the toddler's mother Amanda Dumont, 30, and her partner Scott Bakker, 27.
The jury heard that 18 month old Ryker was already dead and cold to the touch when Bakker called for help.
Bakker ran to his own mother's place nearby to use her phone.
Seconds later, they raced to the townhouse at 355 Penny Lane in Strathroy and that's when Kathy Bigras used a neighbour's cellphone.
Bigras later testified, "This was all pretty shocking...I walked into the house there was a child on the floor...That appeared to be deceased and Amanda was putting a sleeper on the baby."
When Dumont's brother testified, he told the jury about the baby's severe burns on his back.
Jesse Ferreira said he babysat Ryker and his three sisters on May 20, 2014 while the couple went out.
"He (Ryker) was crying, extremely burned. I talked to him, I gave him his bubba and he stopped."
He said Dumont and Bakker returned at 2 a.m. and later that day Ryker was dead.
The couple has pleaded not guilty to criminal negligence causing death and failing to provide the necessaries of life.
Earlier Wednesday, the jury heard from a paramedic with the Middlesex-London EMS.
Paul Langford testified that they tried to resuscitate Ryker but it was too late.
He said a man and a woman were nearby.
"She was sobbing once we had informed her that her child was dead. He went outside and was swearing, 'This is f---ing bull---t."
The coroner then arrived he testified that the baby was blueish, grey and cold.
The trial continues Thursday.
