Environment Canada has put parts of southern Ontario under a snow squall warning as an Arctic cold front is set to make a chilly arrival Monday night.

It says areas southeast of Lake Huron and Georgian Bay can expect up to 10 centimetres of snow by Tuesday morning, when additional snowfall is also possible.

The warning stretches from Sarnia and Elgin County up to Huron - Perth County in the province's southwest, and also the Barrie and Dufferin County areas.

The agency says adjacent areas can also expect trace amounts of snow as temperatures drop overnight.
