A pilot has been killed in a small plane crash near Sarnia.
The Sarnia Police Service received several calls from the public about a two-seater aircraft that went down north of London Line in a cornfield on Saturday, September 3rd, around 11:45 a.m. Several Sarnia Police officers as well as Sarnia Fire and Lambton EMS responded to the crash site near the 2300 block of London Line, southeast of Sarnia Chris Hadfield Airport.
Sarnia Police located the wreckage from the aircraft and determined that the only occupant, a man in his 50’s had died as a result of the crash. Transport Canada has been called to assist the Sarnia Police Service with the investigation.
