The first baby to be born in London in 2017 arrived safely at London Health Sciences Centre just over three hours into the new year.
The baby girl – yet to be named – was born at 3:10 am weighing 7 lbs. She is the daughter of Rachel Nanton and Jeff High of London, and a little sister to Catie.
The family will be going home today with gift baskets donated by the pharmacist-owners of London and area Shoppers Drug Mart stores. The Children's Health Foundation also included two teddy bears and London Health Sciences Foundation contributed a handcrafted baby blanket to welcome the first London-born baby of 2017.
